Dat Hardhat

Well, I promised I would get back to work, and I didn't lie about that. I am in fact working. I have converted the website into a Wordpress theme. I am also in the process of switching hosts. My current one... well suffice to say it isn't that great. I am trying to get my 'house' in order so I can get back to the tutorial work.

My plan is to wrap up the theme, squash any bugs I come across, and let everyone know the site is changing locales. If you want to see the site as it is now, you can see it at http://nesmods.co.cc/. If you look, you will see I have made some changes and removed a few things, but it isn't fully functioning

State of the Union Website

First off, I want to appologize for the lack of activity lately. My problem is I have things to do. Anyway my school year ends June 9th so at that point I will have some more time to work on the site. For now, I have my finals coming up fast and I am taking the SAT on June 5th so I need to study for that as well. During my Summer break however, I will be taking two online courses so I can graduate in the 2010-2011 school year instead of 2011-2012 and so I can be on my merry way off to college. Due to this, I won't be as active as I could be as far as working on the site goes, but rest assured I will be working on it.

Given that the site will be turning 1 year old in June, I guess I'll give a little 'speech' as to the future of the site:

Debugger Modding

Modding gameplay elements is one of the key elements of modding. Game Genie codes are one of the best tools for modding NES games because they allow for rapid application and take little skill to implement in a game. The one problem many new modders face is the lack of Game Genie codes for some games. The more popular a game is, the more Game Genie codes are available for that game, but what happens when you cannot find a code for something you want to mod? You have to do it yourself. This tutorial will teach you how to alter in game elements using FCEUXDSP's Hex editor and Debugger.
